Harmony in sleep

Help your child to help you become the best parent you can be!

Are you suffering from sleep deprivation?

Do you think having a good night’s sleep is unattainable? Are you completely stressed and exhausted because your child isn’t sleeping?

Are you holding your breath and praying that your child falls back to sleep following a very short “nap”?

Do you feel like you are tip-toeing around your house while your child is sleeping? Do you have toddlers who are fun, energetic, and challenging when it comes to sleep?

Having a child who isn’t sleeping well affects the entire family and doesn’t help anyone be their best self. One of the challenges in becoming a new parent is adjusting to life with a baby and very little sleep. Once a baby is sleeping the entire household becomes more well-rested, energized, and ready to take on what life throws its way. Every baby and every family is unique, so there is not a one-size-fits-all process when it comes to developing a sleep plan.

I would love the opportunity to work with you to help you find harmony in your home around sleep. In partnership with you, we can help your child become an independent sleeper,

What is Sleep Training?

Sleep Training is an umbrella term for a variety of approaches that help your child learn the skill of falling asleep independently. This gives your child a gift that is important to their health and well-being. Unfortunately, sleep training often gets unjustly criticized. People frequently associate it with “cry-it-out”, but this doesn’t truly define what it is. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all magic recipe; rather, there are a variety of techniques under this umbrella. Together we will work to figure out the best technique for your child and your family. Learning healthy sleep habits is like learning any new skill. As a parent, you will support and encourage your child through the process, empowering your child with this new skill through trust, emotional connection, and strong relationships, while aligning sleep science with infant and child development.

Testimonials

  • “Before working with Mimi, our 6-week-old son was sleeping for 30 minutes at a time during the day. I couldn’t get him to sleep longer without holding him. I couldn’t see straight and often had to decide if I was going to eat or use the bathroom during his short naps. Mimi took the time to carefully listen to what was going on, asking very detailed questions so she had a full understanding of a “typical” 24 hours in our house. Her demeanor was fantastic in offering advice for things to try, and followed up with a very detailed plan for us to follow after our conversation.

After working with Mimi, our 6-week-old son is able to sleep 2-3 hours for his naps during the day without being held, by himself in his crib, and is sleeping up to 7 hours straight at night!

Mimi was available to answer all of our questions as different situations came up and to provide support and reassurance. Mimi has given us rest, peace, and a sense of calm and we are extremely grateful!”

  • “Mimi’s sleeping plan and instruction allowed my wife and I to take a complete grasp of our baby’s sleeping struggles. Her patience and ability to listen to our current situation was met with mutual understanding and respect, not to mention, a calming ease when my wife and I initiated the plan that Mimi developed for our baby boy.

After one nap, our son was significantly more relaxed, less fussy, and more willing to sleep for longer periods of time. I would recommend Mimi over and over to anybody who is having issues getting their child to bed, whether that be for naps or for nighttime sleeping. We were so grateful to find and secure Mimi’s help as she went above and beyond to help us. Thank you a million times over!

  • “As first-time parents, we really struggled to establish good sleep patterns with our 4-month-old baby. We were at the end of our rope and very sleep deprived by the time we came to Mimi. Though we desperately needed help, we still had a lot of anxiety about starting sleep training. But once we spoke with Mimi and she whipped up a plan for us, we felt much better prepared to tackle this challenge. She really listened to our concerns and what we were and weren’t comfortable with to create a plan for us.

One of the things that impressed us most was Mimi’s hands-on approach guiding us through the process and answering any questions we had along the way. When you’re in the middle of it and you don’t know what to do, it was so reassuring to be able to talk with Mimi and get help when we needed it.

Mimi was able to totally change our baby’s sleep patterns and help him get consistent night and nap time sleep. I’m so grateful to her and all her help.”

  • Working with Mimi couldn’t have been easier! She was so accommodating to our busy schedules, was great with check-in’s via text and scheduled phone calls when appropriate. She is approachable and easy-going and adjusts to the unique needs of your child and your family. We’ve already told friends of ours with young children to run not walk the next time they have any sleep issues. The turn around time was impressive. We had an independent sleeper, falling asleep on their own in a matter of days using her techniques! Happy Sleeping :)
